Jumpertown storms back to defeat Thrasher at Prentiss County Shootout

Jumpertown trailed for most of their game against Thrasher at the Prentiss County Shootout. They found themselves down by two with under 30 seconds to play and Thrasher had the ball.

That’s when things got crazy.

5 steals combined and a wild series of plays saw the Cardinals come away with a 77-76 lead.

It started with a Jumpertown steal and a pair of Dylan Davis free throws to tie the game at 73.

Skyler Johnson, who played most of the fourth quarter at a break neck speed and hit several big buckets to keep Jumpertown close en route to a season high 25 points, stole the ensuing inbounds and a Cardinal layup made it 75-73.

Another steal and bucket had Jumpertown leading 77-73 with under ten seconds to play.

To keep the excitement at a maximum, EJ Haley banked in a 3 with 7 seconds to play. 77-76

Thrasher got a turnover and a chance with 4.3 seconds left for the win and was not able to convert in this wild series of plays for a 77-76 final. Dylan Davis scored 24 for Jumpertown.
