Meet the Tigers moves to Tiger Stadium for 2026 celebration

Northeast announced that its 10th annual Meet the Tigers celebration would move to Tiger Stadium for August 18, bringing its athletics introductions and football scrimmage together at the outdoor venue.

The August 10 announcement scheduled the event for 5:30 p.m. All 11 athletic programs were to be introduced, including football, volleyball, baseball, softball, cheerleading, men’s and women’s basketball, cross-country and golf.

The Showband from Tigerland and Tiger Dancers were also part of the program. Cheerleaders entered their second coed season under Chasity Moore and Kameron Talley.

A full-gear football scrimmage was planned to close the evening as the Tigers prepared for the start of the season. Tiger Stadium was the event’s third location in three years.
