Northeast announces football and volleyball game themes for fall

Northeast announced themes for 15 home football and volleyball games in its August 10 fall fan guide. The schedule paired school-color nights with community recognition and special events.

Football plans included first-responder and military appreciation for the August 27 opener, Gold Night on September 3, a white-out homecoming game against Northwest on September 24, and pink attire for the October 29 Holmes game.

Volleyball themes included a September 16 white-out against Itawamba and a September 23 black-out against Northwest. A September 25 doubleheader was designated Neon Night. Later dates featured USA, pink and western themes, with sophomore recognition scheduled for October 19 against Copiah-Lincoln.

The release listed admission at $10, payable by cash or card, with current Northeast students admitted free with college identification. The themes were part of the college’s plans for its fall home schedule.
