Delfin ties ace record as Northeast sweeps Wallace-Selma

Northeast volleyball split an August 25 doubleheader in Fayette, Alabama, losing to Bevill State before sweeping Wallace-Selma for its second victory of the season.

Bevill State won the opener 25-13, 25-17 and 25-17. Northeast struggled with errors and could not sustain enough offense to extend the match.

The Tigers responded against Wallace-Selma with a 25-7, 25-17, 25-11 victory. Carine Delfin served six aces, tying Northeast’s single-match record. The team finished with 17 aces.

Addy Hicks recorded seven kills, and Kamari Parker supplied 13 assists. Northeast committed no attack errors in the first set, gained another lift from Addi Vetovitz in the second, and finished strongly with 12 team kills in the third. The sweep was the Tigers’ first of the 2026 season.
