Lady Devils Meet Raleigh for State Title on Wednesday

Just like baseball, the game of softball is all about getting hot at the right time.

The Booneville Lady Blue Devils have done just that in a excellent postseason run to clinch a spot in the 3A State Championship series.

As the winners of 15 straight, the Lady Blue Devils showed their dominance by sweeping the postseason up to this point against Choctaw County, Winona, Senatobia, and Kossuth, who also was the last team to beat Booneville back in March.

Sporting a 29-4 record, the Lady Devils look to cap off a 30+ win season against the Raleigh Lady Lions.

Game One of the series kicks off at Mississippi State University on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. while Game Two will occur 30 minutes after Game Two between Mantachie and Lake.

If needed, Game Three will take place Friday at a time determined by the necessity of Game Three in other series.
