Northeast women’s golf begins its second season with seven players, led by returning All-American Andie Kate Ramey of Booneville. Coach Leigh Treloar’s roster includes two sophomores and five freshmen, the college announced September 11.
Ramey finished fourth at the national tournament with a four-round score of 313 and earned first-team All-American honors. She won three individual titles in the program’s inaugural season. Fellow returner Maggie McElhaney recorded a fourth-place finish at the Northeast Invitational and four other top-20 results.
Wheeler graduate Emma Kate Beckham joins the team after finishing eighth in the Class I state tournament. Other freshmen are Avery Williamson of Starkville Academy, Allie Goldman of Amory, Lynden Williams of Saltillo and Ally Westmoreland of Atoka, Tennessee.
The Lady Tigers are scheduled to open September 14-15 at the Lady Ranger tournament at Tunica National Golf Course. Their fall slate also includes competition in Alabama and Tennessee.
