Northeast volleyball’s 2026 schedule introduces new conference format

Northeast’s fourth volleyball season features a revised conference schedule, the college announced July 31. The MACCC slate drops from 16 matches to 10 under a format designed for each school to visit every conference campus once in a two-year period.

Northeast also scheduled nonconference meetings with the league’s northern schools, preserving annual home-and-home series with Itawamba and Northwest. Eleven of the MACCC’s 15 colleges now sponsor volleyball following the additions of Coahoma and Copiah-Lincoln.

The Tigers’ home schedule includes 10 matches over nine dates at Bonner Arnold Coliseum. Highlights include conference home games against Itawamba on September 16 and Northwest on September 23, plus a September 25 doubleheader with Jackson State and Northwest Shoals.

The schedule also includes the ICC Crossover and Wallace State Fall Bash tournaments. Sophomore recognition is planned for October 19 against Copiah-Lincoln, followed by the regular-season finale October 23 at Northwest Shoals.
