Andie Kate Ramey among 11 Northeast Tiger Award recipients

Booneville golfer Andie Kate Ramey was among 11 Northeast student-athletes selected for Tiger Awards, the college announced August 3. The awards recognize one representative from each varsity program for positive contributions to the team and college.

Ramey finished fourth at the national tournament, earned first-team All-American honors and won three individual tournament titles. She placed no lower than seventh across 11 events.

The other recipients were Cooper Davis, baseball; Tayler Berryhill, men’s basketball; Maniya Kirksey, women’s basketball; Maddie Rogers, cheerleading; Adam Galloway, men’s cross-country; Sunshine Fulgham, women’s cross-country; Walker Thompson, football; Olof Behle, men’s golf; Chloe Skelton, softball; and Sophie Johnson, volleyball.

The group included seven sophomores and four freshmen. Ten recipients were from Mississippi, while Behle represented Sweden. Behle also won the Gulf District golf title through a five-player playoff, and Johnson finished her Northeast volleyball career with more than 1,200 assists.
