Bearcats use hot shooting to down Panthers and punch ticket to Big House

Baldwyn turned in a gem of a defensive effort and got a barrage of three pointers and cutting layups.

All the ingredients necessary for a return trip to Jackson.

The Bearcats are headed back to the Big House after dismantling Pine Grove 70-45 at ICC on Thursday.

Baldwyn jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the game and they would never trail in the contest.

Gabe Richardson connected on 5 first half three pointers and hit for 19 points, Jacolby Williams hit for 13, and Baldwyn built a 37-19 advantage.

All told, the Bearcats hit 10 three pointers and 13 layups, dissecting the Panthers with skillful efficiency.

Richardson finished with 25. Williams ended with 22.

The Bearcats travel to Jackson to play in the semifinals after a two year year hiatus.
