Baldwyn Boys get past New Site to claim spot in Prentiss County title game

Baldwyn boys won a hard fought contest against New Site on Friday Night to punch their ticket to the championship game of the Prentiss County Tournament.

The Bearcats and Royals played a back and forth contest that Baldwyn was able to pull away with late in the contest for a 73-59 victory.

The win improved Baldwyn to 17-1 on the season. The loss dropped New Site to 16-6.

Baldwyn was led in scoring by Kobe Williams with 21. Riley Hoard finished with 16 points and 16 rebounds while Gabe Richardson chipped in 15 and Cam Wicks had 10.

New Site was led by Walker Moreland’s 28 points. Carson Fitzsimmons added 12.

Baldwyn will take on rival Booneville Saturday night for the championship.
